Cast iron is a great material for mortars and pestles with its density and longevity. Options abound! Our 3-piece set is very stable and made to last, making short work of most any grinding job. The small mortar is 1.8" high x 1.3" deep x 3" inner diameter, and the large mortar is 2.4" high x 2" deep x 3.5" inner diameter. Our XL mortar is 3.8" high x 3" deep x 5.5" inner diameter, and our oval mortar is 7" x 3.5" x 2" with a pouring spout to accommodate the pestle.

The perfect tool for making short work of grinding and pulverizing fresh spices, peppers, or anything that needs to be crushed is our Spice Grinder with Storage. It's very stable and made to last, with a beech wood lid to store the grind. It comes with 3 pieces: the outer cup, the inner grinder, and the beech wood lid.
