Peugeot's legendary pepper grinding mechanism, made of case-hardened steel with additional anti-wear and anti-corrosion treatments, features a double-row of helix-shaped claws that grab and crack each peppercorn before drawing it down to the teeth for the perfect grind.

The salt grinding mechanism is also built to last, utilizing a 2-stage process of fracturing and crushing the coarse salt to a consistent size using specially treated stainless steel teeth that maintain their razor-sharp edge and resist corrosion, ensuring maximum flavor and aroma release.
